Kingfisher Original Acrylic " A Splash of Colour "

Framed Size 25" x 9", with non reflective glass.  The last of my very long frames, for now at least, and what better way to set it off to its best advantage.......  Three delightful kingfishers, each in a typical setting for this popular little bird. SOLD at Needham Market Art Exhibition.

Kingfishers are widespread, especially in central and southern England, becoming less common further north but following some declines last century, they are currently increasing in their range in Scotland. The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
