Framed Size  18" x 12", with non reflective glass.  I have painted several Robins towards the end of 2018, they are such a popular bird and of course Christmas approaches when figure frequently in our minds.  These lone little fellows often cheer us up as Spring arrives when we start to dig over our gardens each year.  They just appear from nowhere!   SOLD as a commission.

Robins have a delightful musical song, flutey in nature and pitched higher than that of a Blackbird. Being territorial all year-round means that Robin song can be heard throughout the winter months.  Read more.....BTO Robin

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
