Framed size 9" x 21", with non reflective glass. The Mallard Duck is a common site around the village at present, waddling around with broods of adorable ducklings, I couldn't resist! I was really excited by this painting, particularly pleased with the reflections and the movement of the water. SOLD privately.
The mallard is a large and heavy looking duck. It has a long body, and a long and broad bill. The male has a dark green head, yellow bill, is mainly purple-brown on the breast and grey on the body. The female is mainly brown with an orange bill. Read more.....RSPB Mallard
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
