Framed Size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass. Possibly the most involved setting for one of my Tawny Owls. It certainly attracted a lot of attention on various Facebook Groups. The original SOLD privately.
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
The Tawny Owl is one of the most common owls in Britain, with a population of about 20,000 breeding pairs. It lives in deciduous and coniferous woodland, wooded farmland and parkland.
